I’m a twenty-something book addict currently residing in London, and also sometimes in Yorkshire. In 2015 I completed my masters in Publishing in Oxford, moved to the bright lights of London and am now working in publishing. I drink a lot of tea (peppermint or Yorkshire preferably), make lots of to-do lists that never get completed and I sing Joy Division and Bombay Bicycle Club a lot (and badly).
Having spent four years as a bookseller – eek – books have become an integral part of my day-to-day life. While my favourite authors include Virginia Woolf, David Mitchell, the Brontës and Sarah Waters, I do read a lot of upcoming releases. The Bookshelf consists mostly of my bookish musings, of both new books and those already released. Also just a note to say that, due to my massive to-read pile, I don’t read self-published work (sorry).
A previous incarnation of this blog, All Things Bright and Bookiful, was set up in 2014 to allow me to document my move southward to Oxford. Given that I’ve moved to one of the most exciting cities in the world, I’m going to include the odd post about London life!
You’ll mostly find me on Twitter (@hannahlbright29).
Hope you enjoy!
